My helper

Kayton has become my little buddy in the kitchen.  He still loves to help me with dishes, and even though there is a big water mess everywhere when I'm done, I still let him help me.  He also loves to help me use my Saladmaster machine, which is a machine that has different cutting cones and you turn the handle to cut the food, anyways, he loves when I pull that out and he brings his chair over and will turn the handle for me while I hold the food.  A couple weeks ago, I made some cookies before going to someone's house for dinner and he helped me bake which was a lot of fun.  He loves being so helpful in the kitchen.

Nate's final concert

Nate's student teaching was such a good experience for him.  Even though it didn't lead to a full time job here like we thought it would, it was still a good place for us to be while he was student teaching.  He had so much fun working with the kids and it was so fun to see kids out in town saying hi to Nate.  He was done at the beginning of May, but he went back and helped out with a concert/performance a week or two after he was done.  He missed the big final concert for the whole school because he was sick, but he did get to help and conduct at a little concert that was during the day.

He got a job!

Nate got a job!  It turned out to be a big long story, but he did get it!  We will be living in Winslow, AZ and Nate is going to be teaching General Music for 3rd-6th grade and also the Beginning Bands.  They are all spread out between 3 elementary schools so he is going to be really busy.  We were told that he was one of a lot of applicants and he was their first pick.  He is taking over for a lady who is going to move up to be a Vice Principal and the program is really big and strong.  It's a good first year teaching job and we just feel like this is where we are suppose to go right now.  We are excited and this weekend we found a place to rent!  It is a 3 bed/2 bath house and it's a little diamond in the rough place.  I am so excited to move now.  Our plan right now is to move the first weekend of July.
