2015 Cougar Football

We love having Uncle Brent on the football team.  It's fun for us to go to the JV and varsity games.  We get to hang out with Susan and watch.  We are bummed the season is over but we do have one more year of getting to watch him.  He will be a senior next year and only play varsity.  The boys have gotten to enjoy the concession stands a lot more this year.

Our big Kayton

Today, we started Kayton at a new school.  He is a pretty smart kid and we were realizing that he was getting really bored at his class in Linden. He started getting in trouble and needing a little extra attention.  We decided to try and have him tested for the accelerated class at the other elementary school close to our house.  It all got done really quick and he switched classes.  He has been doing so much better and is accelerating so well.  His teacher is now Mrs. Heather Douglas and she is amazing and this has all been a great experience for him.

He also likes this new school because once or twice a week he gets to ride the bus so I can get to work on time.  He thinks it's the coolest thing.

FHE with Judds

We live next door to one of my friends, Kendra, from high school and ever since she got married, we have been trying to get together for a family night and we finally did.  Her husband, Robert, is really into disc golfing and we did it a lot in Flagstaff so we just went together.  Everyone had a lot of fun and the 3 boys had fun throwing their fake shots and getting it into the basket.  Kendra and I realized we are not very good so we should practice and try to beat them next time.

Football with Daddy

Some days the boys are really excited about playing sports and it's fun for Nate to take them and show them some tricks and teach them a little bit about games.  We had a fun night of going to the football field and working on how to throw and catch the football.  Sometimes having a house full of boys and me being the only girl is hard.  But I love the bonding they share on things like this.

2015 Homecoming

I'm going to be honest here.  Living here in Show Low and doing Homecoming festivities makes me happy.  I got to enjoy some of the high school activities during the week, one of them being a parade that they different clubs and groups are in.

Of course we went to the homecoming football game which was a blast.  We won.  They boys are getting use to going to the football games and figuring out that we really do just sit there and watch the game. It was very exciting for us.

I also got the chance to take pictures of my brother and his group for Homecoming before they headed off to the dance, so here is their group shot.

Day with Merrick

I had a day that I had to stay home from work so I got to hang out with Merrick after he got out of school.  We hung out and played games, watched a show, then I decided to paint my toenails.  I sat down on the floor and then he came over and said he wanted to help me.  He tried so hard and it was so adorable that he wanted to help me and we had a fun 30 minutes together.  He let me put some on him and then he had me take it off within 3 minutes.  We needed that time together since I have been working lately and it was perfect.
We like each other!

Day at the Tracks

These little boys just love the Family Fun Park here in town, so we took them out one of the last days the park was open before winter.  They love driving Lightning McQueen and then seeing if Mommy or Daddy's car goes fastest.  I love getting to do these things with them that they love.  It was a great family date.

The Playground

We have loved getting to play on the school playgrounds.  It's been so fun watching each of them grow and learn how to do a lot of things independently.  I never really thought I would miss the stage of sitting and pushing Kayton on the swing.  He knows how to now though so he doesn't want me to anymore.
He doesn't mind climbing up to the top of things
