Kayton lost his first tooth

We couldn't believe it.  He lost his first tooth.  He had been complaining about his tooth hurting every time he would bite into an apple, but one day he really cried about it.  Turns out it was super loose and ready to come out.  We tried that night but it wasn't quite ready yet so he slept on it.  The next morning, Nate was able to pull it out right before school started.  Kayton thought it was the coolest kid ever and was so excited to go show everyone at school.
Of course we got it all set in a bag so the tooth fairy could come that night.  She showed up and left a sweet note that said how good he was doing with his teeth and left him a dollar.  The next morning he couldn't find anything from the tooth fairy and got scared, but thanks to Nate, we found. He was so excited that the tooth fairy actually came to visit him.
Ever since then, he keeps coming up to us and having him check and see if he has any other loose teeth. I sure love this toothless kid.

100 Days of School

Kayton was so excited to do this project.  He had to make a poster with 100 of something on it to celebrate 100 days of school.  So me being the non crafty mother, I went to Pinterest and found this idea and Kayton loved it.  So we made a gumball machine with 100 gumballs on it. He was so proud of it when it was finished.  It only involved one or two small burns from the hot glue gun.

14 Weeks

We are at the point now where it's ok to tell everyone that we are pregnant.  With our last pregnancy ending in a miscarriage, we were better at waiting to make sure everything was ok this time.  At 14 weeks, I had a doctors appointment and we heard the heartbeat and saw that everything was fine so we announced with these pictures on facebook and instagram.  Words cannot describe how happy we are that things are working out this time.  Even though I am still super sick and want to throw up through most of the day, we are so excited and are looking forward to finding out in a few weeks what we are having.

2 Snow Days

After the first time we went sledding, Merrick kept begging for us to take him out again.  We finally got another storm that was big enough for us to go.  So we went and found a much better spot with much bigger hills and the boys loved it.  Kayton even got brave enough to go up to the top of one of the biggest hills and go down.  He didn't make it all the way down without falling off and rolling down the hill a little bit.  He handled it well and then Nate went down and pulled him back up the long hill.
He loves to eat snow
We even had just enough snow in the backyard to make our first snowman as a family.  The boys were so excited and he actually stayed up for a long time.  When we asked what we should name him they of course said Frosty.

Sometimes they like to strike poses when I pull out my camera.

New Years Eve game night

Sometimes I don't think it's all the fun to do anything for New Years, but when you get invited to go play games with friends and eat food, how can you pass that up.  We got together with the Pettingill's, Davis', and a few other family from the ward came for a little bit, but we just hung out and played games at the church for like 3 hours.  That to me is the best way to spend New Years.
This year has been a little crazy but thankfully nothing too major has gone wrong or been terrible.  We were so happy to be able to finally say that we were pregnant this year. We feel blessed and can't wait to see what 2016 holds for us and our growing family next year.

10 weeks

We made it to 10 weeks.  I still feel really sick all the time.  Almost constant nausea all day and if I drink water it doesn't really help.  I feel like I have a little of a bump but it's not much that anyone can tell.  We are so happy to be pregnant again and hope that it all keeps going well.

Christmas 2015

What a great morning. Merry Christmas everyone.  Kayton's reindeer food worked cause Santa made it to our house last night. He came with treats in our stockings, Miles toys, and Power Rangers.
Then the present opening began.  These boys were spoiled rotten.  Some of their favorites where the Disney stuffed animals from Nana and Papa, little Avengers toys from their friend, Raphael Ninja Turtles, and an air hockey table.  They loved all of it and played hard with them all day.  It was a blast getting to watch them and love everything.
The one I was most excited for though was Nate's present.  He has talked about wanting to go to a Canadian Brass Concert for pretty much as long as I have known him so I got lucky and found a concert in AZ and bought him tickets for Christmas.  We don't go until the end of January, but he was really excited.
Merry Christmas.

So we didn't have any family in town that day to have dinner with so I made some food all by myself just for us and we had a nice quiet dinner in our pajamas at like 4 o'clock in the afternoon.  Although I miss the family time on Christmas, we really enjoyed having it be just the four of us pretty much all day.  We definitely needed that time together.

Later that night, our friends, the Pettingill's, were done with their family things and asked to come over and play games with us.  We of course said yes and had so much fun.  We played Pie Face and kept playing until we all got splatted with whip cream in the face.  The kids loved it.
After that game, we let the kids go play with some of the new toys while we played an more adult DC comics game.  I can't think of a better we to have ended that Christmas.  It was a great day.
