Brewer Reunion

Well, this weekend was my first time going to the Brewer Family Reunion and everyone meeting me. It was really fun. We drove down Saturday morning to go to Snowflake and we had it at Pioneer Park. It was a nice day for it and everything. We actually pulled up at the wrong reunion first and they told us we could join their family if we wanted to, so we said we might be back depending on how things went with our family.

We were only there for about 3 hours. The first part of it was sitting around and talking and catching up with everyone. It was alot of fun to meet these people I had only heard about and to see Nate get all excited to see his family again. I was also excited to see my friend now cousin Rachelle and I stuck with her most of the day cuz she was the only person I knew. After chit chat time was over, they had us answer a few trivia questions about the family. They gave us books that had the answers in them and so we all felt smart. After most of us had filled out the questions, they served us lunch. We were all excited when lunch was served cuz we waited for about an hour and a half for it. After lunch was over, some of the kids played ultimate frisbee. I lasted for about half the game and then I stopeed along with Rachelle and Andrea. We had fun. Then we cleaned up and left.

Later that night, everyone in the immediate Lenore Brewer family went out to Pinedale to play games and stuff and have dinner. That was so much fun. On our way out to Pinedale, we stopped at my mom's house and say hi to everyone. As we were getting ready to leave, my little sister, Susan, woke up from her nap and I decided that I wanted to take her with us so I could play with her. The rest of the family was at home working on remodeling a room so I thought it would be good to take her so that she didn't get it the way of everything. We had a blast. We played, ate, and chatted some more. I had alot more fun than I thought I would. Sadly, all things had to come to and end. We left and took my little sister back home then headed out to Snowflake. We were staying at the Allen's house in Snowflake so that we were that much closer to home when we left in the morning. They were so nice to us and we love going over there. We feel like family. So, we had a great night sleep in a really awesome room after we watched the movie Jumper. I fell asleep during the beginning of it, but Nate said it was an ok movie. Then we got up the next morning and headed home so we could get back in time for church.

I also got a new phone the other day. It's with AT&T, but its a really nice flip phone and its PURPLE! Our contracts were finally up so we are now on the same cell phone carrier together. I really do love Verizon, but there was not enough convincing in the world to get Nate to come to Verizon with me. So that is why we are on AT&T.
But, things are going so well right now. We love it here and have just felt so good since we've moved. We do have FHE at our house tomorrow night for a bunch of couples in our complex so we hope that goes well.

Disc Golf

So, there is a couple in our complex that introduced us to the game of disc golf. It's alot like frisbee golf but with disc's instead of frisbees. It's been alot of fun learning the game and stuff too. Since Nate hasn't had much to do lately he tries to go practice or play with whoever is around during the day. We bought our own discs for $7 each and it's become the thing we do alot at nights now. We are actually going out to play again tonight with like 6 or 7 people. Nate has gotten really good but I am just starting to learn the little tricks. It definately is a killer on my shoulder and arm but it's still fun to play and to just be with some of the people and not feel like I have shunned myself from the world. I would definately recommend it to anyone willing to try it.

Well, that's the exciting part of our life right now. My new job is pretty good. So far, it's not too hard but the lady who is suppose to be training me is so busy that I'm not learning everything as quick as I would have wanted to but it's slowly coming together. I think I will want to stay at this place for a very long time. As for Nate's job, he got an application in and had an interview today. and was also given the job!! He doesn't start until the 7th, but it will be so good for him. It's a front desk job and he will be working a 9:30-1:30 shift and then maybe take an afternoon class or something online. We are so happy that everything is working out so well for us. We couldn't be happier.

JOB!!

Well, the job hunt is finally over for me. I got a job at the North Country Health Care as an Accounts Payable Clerk and I start on Monday the 16th. The job is basically all data entering things into the computer for the clinics that are in the office. It's good pay and everything so I am really excited for it and I am glad that the stress is gone for that. To celebrate, I went and bought a few new outfits at the mall yesterday for work which was alot of fun. I'm so excited. Nate just applied for a job on campus as well for the the second summer term so we hope that he gets that one too. He gets really bored sitting at home all afternoon with nothing to do. But anyways, just wanted to share my exciting news.

Catch up

Well, the job hunt is still on. It's a good thing we have some extra money right now or else we wouldn't have gotten too much done lately. I have two interviews tomorrow for office positions and they would both be really good so I hope one of them goes very well. I will make sure to let you all know. As for our house, it's pretty much all together. It feels like home to us and it's so fun to have a 2nd bedroom and lots of storage space. For our completion of our house, we have purchased 2 new couches, a computer desk and a Wii! We love it. The other exciting thing is that there are married couples that don't have kids in our complex and there is a little FHE group that get together every other week and we have alot of fun. It's also really nice to be in a ward where there are more married couples than just us. Our new ward is also really friendly and we just couldn't be happier right now. Here are some pictures of our apartment.

Our brother Justin and his girlfriend Lori got married on the 7th. We are so happy they finally got married and even more excited that we were able to go there and see it. We got to see all the family and hang out with them and it was just a blast. While we were in Mesa, we also got to go to a session down there which was a real treat for both of us since we haven’t been back to the Mesa Temple since we were married. I also am starting a new part time job in selling this awesome cookware which I bought a set of and will hopefully finish my training here in a few weeks and start making a little side money.

We were also able to go to Show Low for graduation weekend and see some old friends and the family there too. Nate got to go on a little fishing trip with one of his friends from high school and he really loved it. He wants to get a fishing license and make fishing a routine thing for him. He is also filling his mornings with his summer Geology class which he says will be really easy to pass. It's a 5 week class so it will probably go by fast. He has also been looking for a part time job on campus that will fill his afternoon but there doesn't seem to be much around here so we hope something comes up.
Other than that, we are just enjoying Arizona again and hoping the best happens soon. I promise I will try to keep things more updated on here.
