Merrick T-ball

Merrick got to do t-ball as his summer activity.  I was so excited to watch him and he did so great with it.  He was on the Mustangs team and got to play against some of his friends on other teams. The way they play at this age is that they hit the ball and run to first.  The team in the outfield has the kids run to see who will get to the ball first and then they practice throwing it to only first base.  There were no outs and everyone bats once.  Merrick loved getting the ball and throwing it.  He was so excited every game and we loved watching him.
There were a lot of times that Merrick of course didn't get the ball after the other team hit it, so he would do something like throw himself on the ground and pout for a tiny second then he would get up and continue on.  I got a kick out of it and always wanted to see what kind of position he would be on the ground.

Kayton Coding Class

Last summer our lives seemed up in the air and the boys didn't get to do anything.  This summer, we made sure that the boys could do some kind of activity.  Kayton picked a class through NPC Kids College that they do every summer.  It was a Beginner's Coding Class and it taught him some basics of how games are made.  He went 2 times a week for the month of June and he loved it.  I hope he can do something like that again.

Baby Shower

For the 3rd baby, I didn't think I really needed a baby shower but I have an amazing friend and mom who wanted to throw me one.  I was grateful and was excited to have one.  We had some yummy food and I was so grateful for all of the friends that came.  We did a diaper raffle so I got so many diaper to last for months.  I also got a few clothes and blankets for baby boy.  I loved all of it and it makes me more and more excited for this little guy to come.
Awesome friends!

Fathers Day

We celebrated Father's Day in 2 different weekends.  The actual day of Father's Day we were still in Mesa for our family weekend.  Our celebrating was the playing and outings we did.
They sure do love their Daddy!
The next Sunday in between meetings and stuff that Nate had, we did his favorite breakfast of crepes and the boys got to give him their presents that they made.  The boys were so excited for that part.  He really is the best daddy ever and we love getting to spoil him on his special day.

Fire and Mesa

On June 15th, there was a fire that started outside of Show Low on the reservation.  It was called the Cedar Creek Fire.  The whole city of Show Low was on a pre evacuation notice.  I freaked out only a little bit but we decided to do a little preparing.  We got the important things out of our house and put them in Nate's car then drove it out to Pinedale and left it parked there.  We packed up enough clothes for the weekend and decided that even if we weren't really evacuated, we would still head to the valley just in case.  We also thought that it was the best weekend to leave and have a final family get away before the baby comes.
We decided to take advantage of our Pogo Passes while we were there and we started the next day at Sunsplash.  Oh my it was so much fun.  They had life vests there that they boys could wear all day long so it gave them so much freedom and we had so much fun.  They did the slides more times than I can count, even some of the big ones with Nate.  We ate lunch and got treats there too.  We were there for probably 4 or 5 hours and the boys definitely could have kept going.  The boys always ask when we can go back, it was a perfect summer day.
The next day, we went to the IDEA Museum.  It's a little kids activity center that allows you to be creative by making and building things.  It's mostly about using your creativity and the boys didn't like it as much as I thought but it was a great place.
This was Kayton's favorite.  He built lego's and the ipad in the front let him take pictures and tried to make a movie with pictures.
Blacklight room
This was awesome.  You drew a picture and put it under a camera, then it showed up on a green screen around the corner and you got to play with the picture you drew.  Here is Nate giving his stick figure a fist bump.
After we were done there, of course since we were right around the corner from Mango's, our favorite Mexican food place, we had to go there for lunch.
Last stop of the day and of our trip was a rock climbing place.  We hadn't done it together before and it was a lot of fun.  We mostly got to be the bottom person for the boys while they climbed.  Since I was so pregnant, unfortunately there was no one to be on the bottom for Nate so we didn't get to climb.  Thankfully our pogo passes will let us go back again without me being pregnant.
This family trip was so much fun for us and I am so grateful that we got to do it before the baby comes.  The boys loved everything and I think we all had a blast.
