As part of Show Low Days, there is an event called the Itty Bitty Olympics. We got there and paid a fee then the boys got a number paper to wear. There were about 5 events for the kids to participate in, including kicking a ball, running, throwing a ball, and an obstacle course. Each kid was to go around and do their best in each event and then in the end they would figure out who had the best scores. The boys thought it was a lot of fun and did great with it.
We were told to come back for an awards ceremony after just like in the Olympics where they announced the winners. I didn't think the boys would win anything so we almost didn't go, but they got really lucky. Merrick got a bronze medal for running and Kayton got 2 silver medals for running and for throwing a ball. They grouped them by age and the boys were so excited that they won. It was a really great thing that the city did. The medals they got were pretty legit.
