It's been a hard week for our little community. While I am not exactly sure what happened, there was a shooting in town and it resulted in one of our officers being shot at and killed. His name was Darrin Reed. We didn't know him personally, but it's still a sad and hard thing for us to experience. It was just such a big shock that it happened and then listening on my phone what was happening to catch the man who killed him. His was airvaced to the valley to see if they could save him so there was a police escort to bring his body back home. The city was invited to stand on the road and welcome him home and watch the police escort. I made sure to take the boys as a small way for us to honor him. It was such a moving and touching experience.
