Tyler and Megan's Reception

What a fun night for us.  I am so happy for this couple and that we were finally able to celebrate with them on their special day.  Since we missed their wedding day we definitely made it our all to help out that night.  My big part was making around 150 little cheesecakes bites with fruit on it.  The barn was pretty and it ended up being a rainy and stormy night.    How fun to have so much family there and what a great night it was.  I was so glad to spend so much time with them this weekend.  Congratulations Tyler and Megan!

Snowflake Pioneer Day

Pioneer day is a really big deal in Snowflake, almost as big as the 4th of July.  This year, some of our siblings were up for the weekend and so we drove over and sat with them.  The boys weren't as excited as I thought, but they had fun with their cousins after and later that night too.

Cute little Statue of Liberty and Abe Lincolin
Now for the hard part of the day, the picture above is pretty much the last thing I remember about the parade because all the sudden I checked and couldn't see Kayton anywhere.  He had gone back and forth near where we were sitting with his cousins so he could get candy and stuff, but this time all the cousins were there and we couldn't find him.  I looked all around but after about 5 - 10 minutes of looking with no luck I was too freaked out so I called the local PD.  They got on the radio and I found one of the cops.  I was with him for like 30 seconds and finally started breaking down when I saw the fireman volunteers show up to help look too.  Right after that I turned around and saw Nate walking toward me with Kayton.  I don't really know what happened but I guess a lady saw him walking down the block away from the parade and so she turned him back and found Nate.  I never felt that he was gone for good, I'm sure he just followed a truck and then didn't know where to go back to.  I was so grateful for an answered prayer and I was grateful when we got him home later.  So it was a stressful day, but I'm glad we saw some of our brothers and sisters and that we all made it home that day.

Merrick's 3rd Birthday

I can't believe my baby is 3.  It's gone by so fast and I can't believe all the things he does and how far he has grown in the last 6 months.  He loves Kayton and copies him all the time.  He loves to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, ABC's song, and Popcorn Popping over and over again and randomly all throughout the day.  He loves playing games, Nate's instruments, and going to nursery.  We are lucky enough that he just finished getting potty trained and he is doing great and hasn't had very many accidents since.  It's been a long time coming and it has made me so happy to not have diapers anymore.  He also got accepted to Preschool and so we are excited for him to go and have new experiences.  Both him and Kayton will be at the same school but in different classes now.  He is such a great kid and I love him.

There were 2 main things he wanted for his birthday, and the first one was being able to go drive Lightning McQueen cars at the fun park.  He got to drive the big one with Daddy and then he got to drive the little cars all by himself twice.  He was sad to leave when it was over, but he looked so cute driving those cars.

Such a driving stud
Friday night, we had birthday dinner at my mom's house with a lot of our family.  My brothers were there with their new wives, my little sister, and then Nate's brother and one sister was there with her daughters.  It was a full house and even though I cooked the food, I thought it was really good.  The boys were more interested in playing and running around than eating, but it was a great night.

Popping up over his presents

Next was his cake.  That was the 2nd thing he was very excited about.  He had to have a Hulk cake so we got it for him.  He was so excited to blow out his candles and have his cake.
This was the cutest thing.  We started singing Happy Birthday to him  and he immediately hid behind his hands until the song was over.

Finally peeking through when the song was over

Yummy cake.  Happy Birthday to my sweet, amazing, happy, smart,  mamma's boy.  To be honest, when I found out I was pregnant with him it was very hard for me to have the boys so close together, but I now know it was the best thing.  I love my boys and I love having this little guy in our lives.  He makes me smile a lot and gives the sweetest kisses.

Pioneer Day and Friends

Pioneer Day is fun to celebrate here.  We were able to go to our Stake celebration since Nate was helping out with one of the games. We got to go last year and the boys had a lot of fun.  First they started off with a yummy pancake breakfast.  The to kick off the activities, they started with a kids pioneer walk.  I thought it was just going to be kids walking around the field in pioneer  clothes, but they actually had 2 pioneer handcarts that they used to pull the younger kids in and the bigger kids helped pull them.  The kids loved riding in it and I thought it was really cute.
When they got done, it was time for games.  They had a bounce house, stick pull and Nate was in charge of a 3 legged race.  There was cotton candy and snow cones too.  The kids had a lot of fun and so did we.

Mommy and Daddy had fun
After the celebration, we had some time to kill before we were going to meet with some friends, so in the spirit of doing something as a family, we went to see the new Planes movie together.  It was really cute and the boys definitely have fun at the theater.
Yummy popcorn
Such a fun day so far and it was about to get much more enjoyable.  Our friends were driving through Show Low going to Utah and we invited them to come through to check out Show Low.  We wanted to show them around since they had never been there before.
During our driving
After we drove around and showed Mary the town.  We stopped at Show Low Lake to let the kids play and take a break from the car.  We love having other friends to play with.
Daisy with her dog Gooster.  They are best friends and were so cute.

We got back and had a goodbye picture.  We loved having our friends stay for a few hours
