Before we headed out to Colorado for Christmas, we wanted to have Nate's mom come have dinner with us and have a little pre-Christmas night together. I had made a lasagna and knew we couldn't eat it all and I couldn't have that many left overs sitting in my fridge for a week, so we called the sisters. We got really lucky and they were together and both available with the nieces so they came over and we had a fun little Christmas dinner and evening together.
The boys opened a present from Grandma which turned out to be a really fun little train track which they played with for the rest of the night and will go under the tree next year.
We had dinner together and hung out and talked and the kids had such a fun time playing with Aunt Marlene and their cousins Alexis and Madison. We hadn't been together like this for a few months, it's just so hard for everyone to not be working at the same time. We felt very lucky that we were able to be together before we left for Christmas.
